Active Ingredient:
Sulfur (9%) – a mineral derived from volcanic
ash in powder form. It destroys bacteria causing acne. Sulfur is sometimes
called “nature’s beauty mineral” since it is found
in keratin (protein) that strengthens skin and is needed for synthesis
of collagen (protein) that helps keep skin elastic and healthy. It disinfects
the blood, helps the body to resist bacteria and protects the protoplasm
of cells. Sulfur aids in necessary oxidation reactions in the body,
stimulates bile secretion and protects against toxic substances. Because
of its ability to protect against harmful effects of radiation and pollution,
sulfur slows the aging process.
Inactive Ingredients:
Aloe Barbadensis leaf extract - acts as an antibacterial,
an emollient, heals wounds and stimulates cell regeneration. Also reduces
inflammation and increases blood circulation.
Black Currant seed oil - contains large amounts of
Vitamin C (stimulates collagen synthesis and potentiates immunity against
infection, antioxidant which protect cells against attack by free radicals.).
In addition, it is one of the few oils derived from plants which contain
any stearidonic acid (anti-inflammatory activity). Stearidonic acid
reduces the amounts of prostaglandins, and thus a kind of pre-inflammatory
state which can be induced by various forms of stress (e.g.: pollution
and UV radiation) is moderated.
Borage seed oil - contains high levels of ÿ Linolenic
acid (25%), has strong protective, hydrating and regenerative activities
with respect to cell membranes. Rich in other essential fatty acids,
Borage seed oil plays a vital role in normal cellular function. It acts
as an adrenal tonic and gland balancer. Its properties give it a wide
spectrum of activity; regenerates the skin barrier, has a moisturizing
action and soothes.
Emu (Dromaius) oil – very moisturizing. It has
anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory properties and cell restorative properties.
Due to a very high concentration of oleic acid, emu oil is able to carry
compounds through the skin and it will not clog the pores. Emu oil is
a significant wound healing agent that provides essential fatty acids.
Stimulates the skin’s immune system and reduces recent keloid
scarring.
Goldenseal root extract - fights infection and inflammation
and is a natural antibiotic that strengthens the immune system.
Hazel nut oil - is rich in phospholipids, Vitamin
E and Oleic acid (75%). Oleic acid is one of the fundamental, essential
fatty acids and is a basic building block for plasma membranes which
protect cells from their harsh external environment. Hazel nut oil has
the ability to carry compounds through the skin. It contains significant
amounts of phyto squalene in the sterols parts which is particularly
valuable because it is one of the main constituents of human sebum.
This makes this oil very useful in the treatment of dry skin which is
deficient in lipids. Natural phospholipids give the oil excellent moisturizing
activity. Hazelnut oil is suitable for products designed for skin that
is acne prone.
Kiwi seed oil – the fatty acid composition of
this oil is very similar to that of human sebum, therefore it is recommended
to preserve optimum skin sebum composition, to provide skin softness,
hydration and protection. It is the richest sources of Vitamin C, Omega
3 and Omega 6. Kiwi seed oil is unique due to its ability to protect,
hydrate, regenerate and nourish the skin as well as purify.
Retinol - is an anti-oxidant, a compound that may
protect against disease by neutralizing unstable oxygen molecules (free
radicals) within the body. Retinol also maintains the health of the
skin (prevents acne and dermatitis) and defends against infection.
Salicylic acid - has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory
properties and is also used to stimulate circulation.
Tea tree oil – a solution derived from the leaves
of the Melaleuca tree or Tea Tree plant with broad spectrum antibacterial
and antifungal activities. Tee tree oil has perfect penetrating properties.
Clinical trials prove the oil’s healing effectiveness against
acne.
d-a Tocopherol - Vitamin E - a powerful anti-oxidant
in the skin that is important for tissue repair. It strengthens capillary
walls and maintains healthy cells by eliminating harmful free radicals
generated in the course of cell metabolism.
Zinc oxide (essential mineral) - regulates the activity
of oil glands and is required for protein, DNA and RNA synthesis and
collagen formation. It has a mild astringent and antiseptic action,
also is an effective preservative.
